Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park.
Enjoy breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel, and then drive to the western province. En route, you’ll see the Southern Province’s Ethnographic Museum and the Royal Palace Museum before stopping for lunch. You go for a canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park after lunch, returning in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay. Have Dinner and overnight at Top View Hill Hotel or Emeraude Hotel.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer Back to Kigali.
After breakfast this morning, you will depart from your hotel to explore Nyungwe’s natural forest, which is home to 13 different kinds of primates. You will then be taken to the park for chimpanzee trekking and a briefing. You are allotted one hour to locate the chimpanzees. Once you’ve completed the chimpanzee trek, have lunch at the hotel and make your way back to Kigali to either your lodge or the airport in time for your late-night flight.
