Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The journey begins with a pick-up from your hotel or any other residence. Our driver guide will then give you an overview of the three-day Queen Elizabeth tour before you set out on your approximately six-hour drive. Take a photo stop at the equator during your route, have lunch in Mbarara Town, visit the Igongo Cultural Centre to learn about Ankole culture, and then continue on to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check into your lodge. You will be given a tour of the Crater Lake area and an overview of the historical salt mining operations in the evening.

Day 2: Game Drive – Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel

After having a cup of tea to start the day, go on an early game drive at the main camp at Mweya Peninsular, which is beautifully situated with the Kazinga Channel dividing Lake George from Lake Edward. This will provide you the chance to see creatures like the stunning Uganda Kob, bush pigs, buffalo, elephants, lions, leopards, bushbucks, forest hogs, and more. Later, have a late breakfast at the resort, unwind by the pool, and wait for lunch there. Afternoon, embark on an amazing launch cruise around the Kazinga Channel, where you may see a variety of wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and elephants.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Departure

Go to Kyambura Gorge after breakfast for a nature walk through an underground forest where you can see monkeys, baboons, chimpanzees, and many other primates. You will observe many tree species here that provide food for forest elephants. After that, have a lunch break while travelling through the Maramagambo forest on your way back to Kampala, stopping along the way to observe various wildlife species. After arriving in Kampala in the late afternoon, you will head to the airport in time to catch your flight home.
