Approximately eight hours are needed to reach Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With one of the 19 habituated mountain gorilla groups, the tour offers you an incredible experience. You will get to witness not only the gorillas but also other primates like chimpanzees, baboons, red-tailed monkeys, and black and white colobus monkeys. This safari provides the best opportunity to experience Queen Elizabeth National Park. It features over 86 different species of mammals, about 606 different bird species, including the globally threatened Pallid Harrier, Grey herons, Squaco, Purple, and Goliath herons, and the magnificent Mweya Peninsula, which boasts a stunning waterfront location beneath the shadow of the Mount Rwenzori.

Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After picking you up from your hotel or other residence, our driving guide will give you an overview of the five days of safari throughout your 5 Days Wildlife Queen and Gorilla Trekking vacation. Later, after making a stop in the equator for experiments and photos en way to the southwest of the nation, Set out for Mbarara by car, stopping for lunch at the Agip Motel before continuing on to Bwindi National Park, which is home to the mountain gorillas. About 50% of the mountain gorilla population that remains in the world is thought to reside in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Though long, the travel is entertaining. Proceed south to Buhoma to see the Kigezi Highlands’ terraced hills, sometimes referred to as Africa’s Switzerland.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After starting your day with a packed lunch and an early breakfast, your driver guide will take you to the starting site so your guide can give you a briefing. After receiving a guide to help you follow gorillas, you can start your expedition. Depending on how these gentle giants move, the time required and the terrain can vary from one to eight hours. The excitement of finally meeting in person eases the agony of an occasionally difficult and drawn-out journey. Though every encounter is unique and has its own rewards, you can probably expect to see the adults grooming, feeding, and resting up close while the children playfully romp and swing from vines. You have the option of continuing to unwind at the lodge or going on a stroll around the Batwa community in the evening, which will allow you to meet the locals, discover how they live, and see them perform traditional music and dances.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Head for the Ishasha sector, the southern portion of Queen Elizabeth National Park, after an early breakfast. This area is one of Uganda’s greatest riches and has been recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve for Humanity. It shares boundaries with Kazinga Channel, Lake George, and Lake Edward in the western portion of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. After driving through the Ishasha area in quest of the lion tree climbing, you will check into the lodge. Take a two-hour launch cruise on the Kazinga channel after lunch. This canal, which links Lakes Edward and George, is teeming with buffalo and elephants along its banks, as well as schools of hippos. Elephants, lions, spotted hyenas, leopards, Bushbucks, Waterbucks, stripped jackals, and several warthogs are among the animals you could encounter while on the grazing grounds. There will be a brief evening game drive following the launch cruise.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking – Evening Game Drive

You will head out with your tracking equipment for chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge, which is still part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, after breakfast early in the morning. While tracking, you will descend a gorge and see views of a chimpanzee population living in a vibrant, lush tropical forest that is below sea level. It is difficult to hike the steep slopes of the gorge in pursuit of the chimpanzees, but if you do, you will be rewarded with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. You will see the olive baboons and the black and white colobus monkeys, as well as the chimps rolling on tree branches and making panting cries. Usually, the hike takes between two and five hours. Return to the resort for lunch, then go on an evening game drive in search of wildlife. You can see animals in the delta, including warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and Jackson’s heart creatures.

Day 5: Transfer to Kampala – Entebbe Airport

You leave the Park and drive through the wildlife trails for a little while before starting your journey back to Kampala after breakfast in the morning. While travelling, stop at the Igongo Culture Centre and lunch in Mbarara (the historical ground for Ankole culture). Push that aside and travel on to Kampala, where you may rest and get ready for your journey home.
